Camp Hilbert #1 Results
The results for Camp Hilbert #1 have finally settled down and it looks like the Bike Factory Team is off to a great start to the season. There's two series where we've earned some points: the Hilbert race series (aka "Chase for the Jersey"), as well as the Virginia Off-Road Series (aka VORS) which includes the Hilbert mtb series.
Full results by team member are summarized here in this Google spreadsheet (including points earned): http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pafcgE6v279Fa6q2uzYiLbA&output=html
At the moment, the Bike Factory Racing Team is tied for first place with Endorphin Fitness in the Chase for the Jersey team competition with 13 team points. Many of our riders have earned points for finishing in the top 5 in their categories as well for the individual competition.
In the VORS team competition, Bike Factory Racing is in first place with 444 pts and many of the Bike Factory Team racers earned points in their individual categories.
Great job team! Keep it up!

Hilbert #1-a mystery still not solved.
Race is in the book, but not on the books. Results are still not up, so we really have minimal idea of how we did. The new software system that they were using did not tabulate stuff as it was supposed to, so they have the raw numbers that they have to sift through and figure things out from. I wish Mark luck with that.
Results we "know":
Nolan Lavoie 2nd place Clydesdale (rode a SS Gry Fisher Rig in the geared category)
Jeremy Senn 4th Place, Pro/Expert (rode a SS Gry Fisher Rig in the geared category)
Results we think we know:
Denelle Grant 2nd? women's Enduro
Michelle Co 4th? Women's Enduro
We are waiting on results for Christy, Ken, Ted, Jason, Mark, and Shawn.
This is what my Nike HRM had to say about my 5 hour and 5 minutes on the bike:
Full on this was one of the hardest starts for an Enduro race that I have been a part of. HR was way too high for the first hour, and I needed time to recover.

A bunch of the Bike Factory Racing team was out for a pre-ride of the Camp Hilbert course this weekend. Nolan was looking fast on his SS. Denelle had her new Trek hardtail rolling well. Michele's new Fisher was eating rooty trails for breakfast. Ted was so fast he was just a blur and I was feeling spunky myself and put in a fast lap.
I'm really looking forward to this race. It's a course set up for me, so I expect to put in consistent solid laps. It's still early in the season though, and I'm nowhere near peak fitness, so I need to remember to focus on the peak races and not get too caught up in performance this weekend. Even so, they're talking about 50 degrees and sunshine for a 5-6 hour ride.. how can you go wrong?!
